The Beefeater Discovery 1700 Series is a premium built-in gas BBQ designed to deliver powerful, reliable outdoor cooking performance with a contemporary finish. Built for integration into an outdoor kitchen, it combines robust construction, generous cooking space and versatile cooking functions, making it suitable for everything from everyday family meals to larger garden gatherings.
The BBQ features powerful cast iron rail burners that provide consistent heat across the cooking surface, while the porcelain-enamelled cast iron grill and hotplate offer excellent heat retention and even cooking. The combination of grill and hotplate allows different foods to be prepared at the same time, from steaks, burgers and vegetables to seafood and breakfast-style dishes.
A double-skin stainless steel roasting hood provides excellent heat retention and supports indirect cooking and roasting. The integrated temperature gauge allows you to monitor the internal cooking temperature without repeatedly opening the hood. The rollback hood design is particularly practical for built-in installations where space behind the BBQ may be limited.
The graphite grey front control panel gives the BBQ a modern appearance and folds down to provide a convenient preparation shelf when required. When the BBQ is not being used, the panel can be closed to conceal the controls and create a clean, streamlined appearance.
A large hinged warming rack provides additional space for keeping cooked food warm or for indirect cooking. Individual stainless steel vapourisers help distribute heat and reduce flare-ups, while the fully welded burner box is designed to withstand high temperatures and help prevent grease from escaping onto the surrounding outdoor kitchen area.
The quartz start ignition system provides quick and convenient burner ignition, while the removable drip tray makes cleaning and maintenance easier after cooking. The BBQ is supplied for LPG use as standard and is approved for conversion to natural gas with the appropriate conversion kit.
